went guitar shopping - part 2 with XR today. part 1 was last friday. we headed to CM to check the ovations out...buying guitar is a very personal thing. so since he didn't like the tones of ovations so we went back to PPlaza where he saw the takamine he liked last week and bought it.

guess i'm just glad he got what he likes and tried everything to be sure it was exactly what he wanted. it's nice to finally find a friend who shares a hobby. but i want to get my money so i can buy my own guitar soon...all this walking around guitar shops is getting really really tempting.

later we went to J8 to have ramen...oh yeah what a day, i'm seriously extremely tired once again.

school has been alright. i'm now sure this semester is way better than last. i have fewer but heavier modules this semester...and somehow less stuff to focus on is a good thing.

we have this engineering fair thingy coming up at the end of this semester. and today the group met up to discuss what we wanted to do. ended up having a pretty cool (literally) idea but nothing's confirmed...

anyways what i want to mention is that we looked for profO to discuss the feasibility of our idea, and the guy is nice. he has always been so nice to us, since the time he stood in for profY for our physics tutorials. seriously, considering that we practically pounced on him when he came out of the toilet. and he really helped a whole lot, gave us a whole lot of encouragement and gave us a couple of working mechanism/principles to consider. the guy rocks lah, though he may be just a little bit blur...

actually i'm running on a very tight schedule, a reduction on content stuff means an increased in project-based crap...now i'm pretty sure this applies almost everywhere...which means i have quite a few deadlines to meet. think it's just a different kind of stress...

let's see...what else? i'm considering going to the US somewhere in the holidays (or whatever's left of it) to clear some electives. but nothing's confirmed as of now...will be back to say more when my schedule becomes clearer...

when you play 2 notes of your guitar, and 10 000 people sing along to you.

or when you wave your hand and 10 000 people wave back.

and yet there is complete sincerity and connectivity...

simply the thought of it is fantastic.

i owe myself a post on Eric Clapton's concert, so here i am. fittingly so after EG...a more or less tribute lesson to EC. we did the main rifts for a couple of EC's songs.

haha...apparently DC went for the concert too and i was kind of surprised (ok so maybe i'm not) that he didn't buy the 399 bucks ticket. but he did say it was two-for-the-price-of-one...

the band isn't the one that is usually featured on the DVDs, but they were pretty good nonetheless, though i would have been overjoyed if i saw Nathan East and company...but i'm still very happy. and Derek Trucks has opened my eyes to an all new perspective in slide guitar and of course new inspiration in terms of slide. it's a shame that i'm not firmiliar with this band, but all i can say is that the bassist was great too...he had a nice groove. i kind of understand more why people enjoy playing bass.

sigh, i'm really not doing justice to such a fantastic concert...but i'm really v tired and behind time on my packing. probably i'll be back to edit and add more stuff in the next couple of days. argh...always behind on my work.

i'm in school rotting literally. so glad i brought my laptop. this sem is terrible, i have a minimum of 2 hours slacking time per day almost everyday. looks like my laptop is going to come to jurong more often this sem.

anyway...haven't been blogging in a while. and now since i'm sitting in front of the N3 office with nothing to do, i shall just kill some time. other than the stupid breaks, school is pretty alright...trying to pace myself and hopefully run into the thing people call motivation along the way. but my 'superhuman' powers seemed to have returned this sem, able to understand lectures so far, of coure with some effort in reading the crap before/after lessons. it's great because for the past 2 sems, my brain seemed to have taken a long vacation but i think it seems to be back though i have no idea for how long.

EG stuff has more or less been confirmed. it's about 1+ month more before DC leaves, then i have no idea if i want to continue or take a break...but it's weird, considering that EG IS my break. seesh. ultimately all 3 of us - suf, e-an and myself will have to agree on something and decide. at least now i feel better cos i know DC will be back in a couple of months.

oh yesh, and 3 of us i.e. tong shou and company are thinking of making a trip to hk (3D2N) during the last week of feb...anyone keen to join us please tell me. aiyah, i think this message will probably only be read by jacW who will probably tell me she's doesn't have holiday at that time or doesn't have money or isn't interested cos she just went there...or all of the above. but since i've already typed it, i'm not going to backspace. BUT if there so happens to be anyone else, contact me for more details and other stuff.

and that's it, i still have 0.5 hours left to kill before my lecture at 12:30 after which will be another 3 hour break...*^%##@%^&**^)@
