in mechanics of materials we learn about stresses/strains and failure of the different materials in structures etc. and today in tutorial i think what my prof mentioned really struck a chord in me. can't help but agree on how true it is. when we consider the different factors affecting a struture, all it takes for the thing to fail is if one condition is overstepped. and even if all the other conditions are met, all it takes is for ONE parameter to be miscalculated and the entire structure fails.

he was saying how much it applies to life as well. it's hard to succeed because in order to succeed we need to constantly ensure all varibles are met. to fail, it only takes one varible to go wrong. seesh. the stuff we learn...
