wanted to blog yesterday but i was too lazy and i could not find my keyboard. my room was in a mess yesterday lah.

DC's string snapped in the middle of a song so he wanted to show us something interesting. there were those curls with the excess length of string at the end of the tuning knobs at the headstock and he wanted to show us how to do that. though many of us were wondering as to what purpose that would serve...he somehow seemed very eager to show us. so we just indulged him. and he demonstarted...i've never seen him demonstrate anything till he was so happy before, he was grinning like some kid lah. it was quite cool i must say, after he showed us i realised why he was so insistent on showing. ask me and i might teach you. haha someone asked why would people do that and he said it looks cool...some people like to have the strings just sticking out at the end but if you're afraid you'll get poked in the eye then you can always make them into curls and they'll still look cool. then they asked what kind of guitarists do that...and we found this poster of mike stern grinning with his guitar which was sporting those curls - "jazz guitarist" DC said with that smirk on his face (ya lah, i know someone is jazz guitarist lah).
haha...since everyone was being boh liao, i suggested that it was probably for jamming the zipper of your gig bag so that you could have an excuse to get a new one everyone including DC agreed.

think my RH-tapping has somehow improved, last week tap got no sound this week tap got sound (well, most of the time) and at least i don't have the problem of unequal volume. RH-tapping really does look cool if only i can do it a bit faster...

time for more practice...
